Behind the company is Dr. Amrit Hansra and Dr. Rajvir Shahi, both accomplished physicians and passionate storytellers. The Founders’ Journey in Medicine and Film

Both Amrit and Rajvir juggle careers in the medical setting and film, hoping to make a difference in both areas.

Dr. Amrit Hansra is a blend of ambition and artistry, balancing two worlds that couldn’t be more different: interventional radiology and acting. Growing up in Northern California, he was always torn between his love for performing and his dedication to academia. He chose the medical path, investing 15 years in schooling, training, and building a career in private practice. But now, after years in medicine, he's finally following his true calling by making a bold shift to pursue acting.

Dr. Rajvir Shahi is an Internal Medicine physician, born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Her journey as a creative writer began during her time as a resident on the frontlines of the pandemic. Initially, it served as an emotional outlet, but later it became a way to document the profound stories she witnessed. Committed to empowering women, she draws strength and resilience from motherhood, advocating for mental wellness and the importance of mental health in the demanding field of medicine. She’s excited to share her stories with the world as both a writer and director.

The duo hopes to blend their two areas of expertise into one inspiring storytelling experience.

2Doc Media is currently in post post-production for Bhangra Baby, a short film about a grieving husband and son who find light in the rhythmic pulse of bhangra music, rewriting their story of loss into one of resilience and connection. Their upcoming project, titled How Was Your Vacation? focuses on postpartum depression.
